Future training opportunities

Training will be held at Big Pine Gun Club. We have firearms and ammunition for students to use. Every participant will start with a .22 rimfire handgun. You are welcome to bring your own personal handgun and ammunition. The goal is to utilize the outdoor ranges. If weather forces us indoors we will only use.22 rimfire unless you bring non-jacketed centerfire ammunition with a muzzle velocity less than 1000 feet per second. All firearms will be kept unloaded on the safety table, ammunition stored separately and accessed only when on the firing line.

Please bring the following:

Eye protection: this can be safety shop style glasses, shooting glasses or your regular glasses.

Hearing protection: Bring hearing protection if you have it or foam ear plugs will be available.

Proper clothing: Plan to be outside but if it rains class will be held inside at the clubhouse. Please bring a hat, wear a shirt with a high neck line and closed toe shoes as flying brass casings are hot. Insect repellant is helpful!

Refreshments: Please Bring water and a snack.
